Computer Tutorial: 3:00- 4:00 pm Monday - 8926 Hickory St. New Orleans, La. 70118

The computer tutorial reviews and demonstrates basic computer skills. The goal of the computer tutorial is to introduce the computer and its basic functions to those with little or no computer experience. At the end of each 8-week tutorial client’s will be introduced to the functions of the keyboard, basic letter writing, and obtain an email address.

The Reading Hour: Tuesday 3:00 - 4:00 pm 8926 Hickory St. New Orleans, La. 70118

The Reading Hour is designed as a community wide, open book club. The Reading Hour caters to those who would like to improve their reading and comprehension skills, and to those who would simply like to listen. Each month a different book is chosen and read. Those who attend will read or follow along as the book is read for thirty minutes. After portions of the book have been read a thirty-minute discussion about the book will occur.

Man Talk: Men Only Saturday 12:00 - 1:00 pm 8926 Hickory St. New Orleans, La. 70118

Man Talk is designed to allow men to talk with other men, about being a man. The goal of Man Talk is to educate, inspire, and lead. The conversation topics will change weekly. Some examples of topics are: The male body, monogamy, religion, and personal finances.

Sister's Speak: Ladies Only - Saturday's 11:00-12:00pm 8926 Hickory St. NOLA

Women of all ages gather and discuss important topics to females in today's society. Each week the topics and presenters will change. Our Mission is to educate women about their important role is our world.

Social Skills Training:

Thursday (Adult) 3:00- 4:00 pm and Saturday (Youth) 10:00 - 11:00 pm 8926 Hickory St. NOLA

Training will be offered to school age youth and adults looking for tools to improve their behavior, and reduce their negative responses to anger and life stressors. Group members may be referred by: schools, churches, families, and even the juvenile court system. Social Skills tools such as Aggression Replacement Therapy, Second Step, and Adolescent Journey of Hope will be used over a 6 to 10 week period to teach behavior modification skills.

Movie Day:

Friday's 11:00 - 1:00 pm 8926 Hickory Street NOLA

Community members gather to watch past box office favorites free of charge. The goal of Movie Day is to provide community members with an opportunity to gather safely and communicate with their neighbors.
